    Beta 17: AND effect

    Should the "AND" effect be working? I've applied it to a background object which works in Windows but not on an iTouch.

    AND, OR, XOR don't work on iPhone (they don't work in HWA mode either in Windows).

    Hi Francois - these are the shader effects rather than ink effects, so these work in HWA. Just wondering what effects we can use?

    AND, OR and XOR are not shaders.

    On iPhone you can use only the standard effects except for AND, OR, XOR. You cannot use shaders.

    I.e. you can use :

    Semi-transparent
    Invert
    Monochrome
    Add
    Subtract

    You can also use the blend and RGB coefficients in conjunction with the effects above, as in the D3D modes.

    Yes, I used the wrong way to describe it, but what I meant was that the effects property in an MMF iOS app brings up the HWA shader panel and you are allowed to pick any shader from the list. They work as you'd expect when in Windows but not on the device. If you have the build type set to an iOS device it would make sense to limit the effects window to the five standard effects you listed to avoid confusion, if that is possible to do.
