Jumping

How do i make the character jump when he is standing still,for some reason the player only jumps while he is moving left or right.

I'm guessing you set control to "Up + Left/Right Arrow"?
You need to set it to "Button 1", and then change the default controls for player 1 so that button 1 is the up arrow key (application properties -> runtime tab -> default controls).
