Hey Pharanygitis, any chance of a new update soon?![]()
It's difficult to know to what extent the current version works. I've been playing around with it today and apparently Kongregate don't actually let you view your stats or create badges (achievements) --it's all done by them if you get featured on their site. But you need to set up a stat system so they can do so (I'm not exactly sure how it all works, maybe they contact you if they want to make badges?)
It does *appear* to connect, assuming 'services available' mean connected via the get api state expression. Even though the debug steps suggested here http://developers.kongregate.com/doc.../faq#stats-api say you should see '[Service->Game]: hello: {"success":true}' in the chrome console when you load it in debug mode which I don't seeThe high scores don't seem to work either.
When I have more time, I restart the project/extension again! Current, I have not enough time to do thisSorry ..

perhaps someone can start a kickstarter for a project like this..? maybe if 50 people all kick in $20 or so it would create a good incentive for someone to make it?
This is a great idea! But I have current not enough time :-/ .. next week its better to do this...
I'm contributing £100 towards (or about $160 at the current exchange rate), as I have a sponsor interested in one of my games but they are requesting kong integration.
I think setting up a kickstarter would be a good idea to collect donations. I'd put my pledge in there, and I'm sure you'd make more than enough money to make it worthwhile Pharanygitis.
I would pay money for this. I think that ultimately, we need to think of a way to streamline the extension making process for APIs because the swf extension has become virtually useless if we can't meet sponsor requests. However, I currently have no idea how to go about doing this.
I agree with this. Especially for the big portals like Kongregate, ArmorGames, Newgrounds and so on. Its a critical part to be able to support this if you develop for the Flash market. Maybe Clickteam could fund the development of these api:s and keep them up to date and sell them as an extra part for the Flash exporter? I think everyone who is a serious Flash developer will want to get their hands on these (fully working) api:s.

There are tutorials? Where do I place the API and the id code? Kindly have an example or a guide? Thank you very much.
