making two actives collide with each other

In an earlier thread I brought this issue up and it was suggested that I use the Move Safely 2 Object.

So I did, and I was able to get my mouse controlled active objects to collide nicely with obstacles.

But that object doesn't appear to be helpful for making my mouse controlled actives collide with each other.

I can make the mouse controlled actives collide with other actives that are not mouse controlled, but absolutely nothing happens when I try to make a mouse controlled active collide with another mouse controlled active.

I have a feeling it's because the X and Y position of the actives in question are attached to the mouse. How do I get around this?

I think if there is a way to add and remove actives from qualifiers using events, this might work to solve the issue. Is there any way to do that?

There is no way to add/remove objects from qualifiers at runtime.

I may just rework all my code for this to see if I can think about it in a different way and maybe arrive at some kind of solution.
