First step, search the forums in case someone else has already asked a similar question before (I guarantee there are threads discussing how to make enemies chase/follow the player, for example - perhaps they could be adapted to suit your needs?).

If you can't find what you're looking for...
You need to describe *EXACTLY* what you want to happen, in as much detail as possible (too much detail is always better than too little), with diagrams if necessary, and then maybe someone will be able to help.
Right now, that question is so vague as to be unanswerable.
