GetInputText$ appears to always return nothing when pressing Button 2. Not a huge deal, I just have to change Button 2 to Cancel and Button 1 to Okay... but I figured we could switch okay and cancel if we wanted to.

Button 2 is cancel by default so it doesn't return anything.

I have been trying to test the Notifications, and it seems that sending a Notification crashes the device. I can't get it to not crash...

Also, will do you foresee this extension to, for example, allow me to run my app in the background while the user is doing other things, and display information in real time in the Notification bar? I don't want to send new notifications, just update the current notification with new information (like what Tasker does, or Google Music, etc).

Stephen, is there any way we can detect 'notification clicked'. For example, if I make an app that is running in the background and I send a notification "Press here to get 50 new coins" the push of the notification will open up the app from background to foreground and I can then tell it which frame to go to also?

That shouldn't be too hard to implement. I will do some work on this extension this weekend. I need to add some stuff for Nico anyway.
