    PS3 controller with MMF2

Can it be done? Can I use my PS3 (Dualshock 3) controller with MMF2? I mean, it plugs into my USB drive. And if so what extension do I need? I tried it with both Joypad and Joystick 2 but all it did was register that it was plugged in. SO what do I do? Thnx in advance.

The problem is not with MMF but with Sony, for some unknown reason they havent released a PS3 to PC driver for the duel shock (unlike MS and the 360 controller).

Apparently someone has created a non sony approved driver for it, but i wouldnt hold out hope.. google is your friend

Yeah, thanks! I found it. I think I'll just head out to the store and buy an adapter for Dualshock 2... I saw that they made an adapter for that... And you were two minutes late!

PS3 controller works fine for my game using the gamepad object by z33z. My computer just reads it as a default USB gamepad. I don't recall installing anything special but it's possible to work. Only reason I know is because I had to expand my joystick customization to allow for the extra buttons... for some reason square is button 16. @_@

Sure it can! i have my game set to use a PS3 remote. Try doing a search for MotionJoy PS3 on PC. That should hook you up. Like Chaos said, in with this setup it will be read just like a USB controller and you can just use the Analog control object. I use it for mine and its flawless

This is kinda related but I thought I would mention it because it may or may not be helpful to you. People have actually converted old gamepads to work with a PC. I have a modified NES and SNES gamepad in fact with USB plugs, as if they were manufactured that way, that just plug into a USB port and work like a regular PC gamepad. Although doing this for a PS3 gamepad would probably be overkill since they can just develop drivers for it but yeah. Just thought I'd let you know your options are more diverse than you might have thought.

I've seen vids where people have done that! Thats pretty cool! I've seen vids where people even have a DS hardwired to play through a PC!!! the PS3 controller is just personal preference, i just like having that many options available to use. Better to have and not need them than to need them and not have them

You can also buy game pads that look and do the same as the NES/SNES pads, with a USB cable. These work perfect with MMF and win98 thru win7 and for 19.95 USD. No software to install. Bought mine several years ago and still works great.
