    Win 7 64 bit - problem?

    Hi!

I created my game on my old computer...Win XP 3, Pentium 4 3.2 ghz, 2 GB Ram. Everything was fine.

I bought a new computer some weeks ago, installed Multimedia Fusion 2 and wanted to edit my game and play it. The game settings are 1024x768, standard display mode (not direct x), maximized on boot up, full screen option.

My new computer has Win 7 64 bit installed, a good graphics card, 8 GB of Ram but the movement of game character is not smooth anymore. There is a light slow down when controlling the character with the up, down, left and right arrows. There is no difference if I run the game in fullscreen mode or 1024x768...why is my game slower than before? My desktop resolution is 1920x1080.

I built the game's application with the latest HWA version of MMF2. The slow down is annoying as the controls are less precise than before.

Can you disable the Windows Aero?
    Let's try it!

Forgot to say that my monitor uses 60hz, my game is set to 50...and the standard version of MMF2 (the non-HWA version) has the same problems.

Disable the Windows Aero in the desktp settings for the whole computer or just for the game (for the game's .exe file)?

    either you like.

If you want to disable the Aero during running Application.

    - Open exe property.
    - Check "Disable desktop composition"

Thanks, it seems to work! Is there a way you can disable it in-game with an object? So that users don't have to edit the exe properties.

It's in application properties. Also you could disable V-sync if you got that one on.

No, I don't use vsync. Do you mean the "enable visual themes" tick box in the display options? I never tick this but still there is the Aero lag.

It's on by default, you need to un-tick it.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
