I seem to have broken my "File" object...

    Hey, folks!

I hate when I do dumb things like break an aspect of an MFA application that was once working, but now isn't. To make matters worst, I can't seem to figure how to fix it.

The aspect of this application which is broken is the use of a File object. When an "Open" button is clicked, the File object is to open, and the user can select one or more files of which the File object extension filter is working. When the file(s) is selected, the file(s) is to be listed into a List View object.

So, here is a run-down of my code. I'm hoping that someone might be able to see what I'm doing wrong. I've gutted the rest of the project so that only the pertinent code is visible.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

I haven't looked at the link you posted but.. .

When using the file object you have to clear an error before you use it again. If you don't clear the error the object won't respond to future actions.

You could also use Jaffob's Powerful Dialog Object.

    Hey, folks!

Thank you for your quick assistance! Jeff, that was the trick: I needed to include a "clear last error" action before I could load the File object dialog box.

Thank you again for your help!
