    Spryz - Testing Reports

    Invited to the Beta, looking forward to helping out in any way I can, for the next day or two I will just be looking through the menu's and figuring out how everything works before I get to work on any testing.

    What I will be testing on.
    Phone Model: T-Mobile G1
    Firmware version: 1.6
    Built: DRC92
    APK Installer: ASTRO Pro
    Rooted: No

    I'm hoping to get the Nexus S soon, testing will be done on both devices.

    Edit: Possible problem is my path is set to the JRE, rather than the JDK will install the 32-bit JDK and point it to that. (Thanks to a post by Jamie, the problem has been fixed and the apk was successfully built, testing will begin tomorrow.)
    I also changed JAVA_HOME to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_25

    I have tried building my first apk, i get the following error. (MFA Attached)

    It seems that the G1 is by far the slowest smartphone available if there is more than 1 moving active, I cannot wait to get the Nexus S.
    Everything seems to work the same as it would with a normal application, although its rather slow, I got the basic objects working without any problems or conflicts with each other.
    I could not get the hang of the screen orientation, more testing on that tomorrow.

    More advanced methods of testing over the next few days to see just how far I can take my G1.
    I hope to have a little demo available when I'm done to show my work.

    Question: How can I use the trackball to control the mouse position?

    My Second Report

    String Object Bug: String Object slows down my test app to 1 FPS or 0 FPS if i change the text off the String Object.

    Sound Sample Bug: Once a Sample has been played it will not play when triggered by another event (not tested this with Music yet).

    Home button+Reopen Bug: Once my app is open, if i click the HOME button to do other stuff and then re-enter my app the screen is static black and the app is not visible until i press the BACK button.

    Android Icon Image Bug: Android 'Launcher Icon', 'Menu Icon', and 'Joystick Images' are auto set to 'Alpha Channel' which displays a black box around the icon on my device, This should be auto set to Trasp. Color as that fixes the problem.

    Click Bug: If the trackball or the screen is pressed in for 3 seconds (or longer) and then released a Force Close dialog pops up but the app is still running perfectly fine in the background, if you click WAIT it returns too the app and everything still works fine.

    HangUp Bug: If you press the HANGUP button and then click MENU button to re-activate the device+app there is a Force Close error however this time the app will freeze if the WAIT button is pressed.

    Android Object Bug: If a condition from Android Object is added the MMF2 crashes if "Device has a GPU" and "User is Roaming" conditions are not added first

    I have not done much testing the past few days, but i have been keeping a track off my work.

    Still no more bugs found o.0 not had much time to do much testing but with what i have tested everything seems ok other than the bugs posted above.

    Was showing a friend a small game i made using the beta, been having a few problems with big scrolling backgrounds, will post more information when i get home.

    It appears the background was too big too handle, everything went fine using a smaller background image.
