    move away from crosshair

I'm trying to make birds-eye view game were when a user presses w, the character walks toward a cross hair. Using the movelt object, I've managed to get this to work. The problem is, I also want it so when a user presses s, he walks away from the cross hair, presses a & walks along an invisible curve around the cross hair (the diameter being the distance between player and cross hair) and so on.
So long story short, to fix this, I've added three "pointers", one below, one to the left, and one to the right of the cross hair. I need these "pointers" to move , always at either a straight or right angle to the invisible line between the player and the cross hair. How can I do this?

If this was really confusing, I can post some pictures if that will make it easier.

    Thanks for your help,
    -nick

There's a very real possibility that I've completely misunderstood what you're trying to do, but here's what I came up with anyway...

You really should try and learn some trigonometry, you know. It's pretty much essential knowledge for game-making, and not difficult.
