INI probem

Ok I have an INI probem

I want the text of the button to be the value of the INI

This is what my INI have

[CLASSICS]
GAME1NAME=Sonic The Hedgehog

I have set the group and the item on the INI object

On the button object I chose "Change text", "Retrive data from an object" Rigt clicked on the INI objectand and slected "get value" and Guess what? IT CANNOT UNDERSTAND MY EXPRESSION! :cry:

So I checked the expression and it Siad "Please enter an alphanumeric expression" and I don't know what it means

The expression is: "value of( "Ini" )" without the marks

can you please help me with this please?

You have use Get String in the INI Object because you are retrieving text, not a number.

"Alpha numeric" is when something is text, not to be used in math (even if it includes numbers... like "Street Fighter 3")

a "Value" is ONLY numbers, intended to be used for math.
