    Mac applications?

    Hello,

Im planning to purchase MMF2 at the end of this month and I was debating on which plugin to buy with it, flash exporter or IOS. I had one question about the IOS plugin though, can it export mac osx applications?
Im kind of a newb when it comes to macs so I wasn't sure if the same apps that run on ipads/iphones can run on the mac book or it you can just export it in xcode program or something...
The descriptions for IOS plugin make it pretty clear that it exports for ipad or iphone but basically Im asking can it make full applications for the mac osx for example like windows exe files?

    Thanks

You can make (Java) Mac Applications with MMF2Dev I believe. Java applications will not be accepted on the Mac App Store though.

But, there is a runtime in development called Anaconda (or is it Python?), that should give users the ability to create applications for it.

    Re: Mac applications?

Oh, I see. So the IOS plugin isn't needed to make mac compatible Java apps?
Im definitely interested in seeing how Anaconda/python turns out. Ultimately what Im trying to do is make games that will run on Mac and pc.

We are working on a true Mac exporter. We will be in beta stage soon.

Francois - interesting news about Mac exporter - if this is acceptable for Mac App Store and you need more Beta testers count me in (I already have a Mac Developer license with 1 app, DEMINO, in the Mac App Store, which took far too long to convert from the iOS version!)

    Re: Mac applications?

No need of XCode for the Mac exporter. It will generate a true Mac application, zipped (because Mac applications are in fact folders). Copy it on your Mac unzip it, et voila!
It will be accepted on the Mac Store, no problem.
