No solution yet, unfortunately. I think I've tried pretty much every settings combination there is..

Re: Question & Answer object in landscape orientation

Seeing as one of the nicest versions of Pausing the game is to use the Q&A object, I thought I'd do a quick test in landscape - and it works fine (in simulator and on my iPod touch 4G) - I made it from scratch, but you might want to check out the portrait version in the iOS examples forum.

How many answers does your Q&A object have? If more than 3, or if each answer is quite long, then iOS may struggle to show them in Landscape and that might be the reason it uses portrait (but probably not what you want to hear!)

Whenever I find something not working quite as expected I make a really simple version to see if I can track down why - I'll try mine with more answers and see what happens

Re: Question & Answer object in landscape orientation

I've extended my example to show 1-5 answers and posted it here for others to try. It always stays landscape for me, but does mess up with 5 answers (can't fit them on screen in Landscape mode with the default size font!)

I will try it out AyreGuitar! I only have 2 answers...one to resume playing and the other to go back to title screen.

Just ran the test, the same issue. It does not display in landscape mode for me.

Re: Question & Answer object in landscape orientation

Perhaps your testing on iPad and the MMF loading screen loads upside down portrait even in the simulator?
(It helps if you can be as specific as possible when you report bugs  )

I'm using XCode 4.0.2 and my QA Landscape Test works fine on:
iPod touch 4G with iOS 4.3
iPod touch 2G with iOS 4.2.1
    and the iPhone simulator
    BUT
on iPad with iOS 4.2.1, iPad2 with iOS 4.3.2 ansd the iPad simulator the Made With MMF loads upside down portrait and Q&A is normal portrait, even when iPad is held in Landscape before launch. This is for a 480x320 MMF app that can also run on iPhone - haven't tried it with a proper 1024x768 iPad version yet
    or iPad 2

I couldn't get it to only happen sometimes - it seems to be fine all the time on iPod touch and always break on iPad (the fact that the MMF load screen displays upside down should help Clickteam test it)

I also tested BHGames Just Survive LITE (available from the App Store ) and this also shows the problem (press the pause quit when playing, also loading screen is upside down portrait), so seems to be a bug, but only for iPad and possibly only for 480x320 apps.

Can anyone from ClickTeam confirm this? If so can we have a bug tracking system for people (I miss the BugBox )

Yay! Thanks for the fix Andos.

Are you able to give any indication on the ETA of the next release?
