Sub-application under another layer

Is it possible to have a sub-application on layer 1 and on layer 2 above it overlay graphics?

In the HWA version (or build 252), you can set it as a Sprite in its properties and it will allow this to work. You probably won't even need layers as it should respect display order on the same layer.
