    Using Flash runtime

I've purchased Flash exporter and the installer feedback says it was successfully added to MMf2. When I begin a new project, what tells me I can export the project as Flash? What tells me the Flash exporter exists in my copy of MMF2?
    What tells me anything?

Jeff Vance does the best he can, but ClickTeam can be maddening to deal with. Company constantly trumpets that it exists for non-programmers, but acts as though its paying customers are programmers - or mind readers.

    Re: Using Flash runtime

Go to your build settings where you select what build type to build to, and select SWF Runtime

Jacob - Thanks for taking the time to answer. Under build type in settings, there is no option for "SWF file for Adobe Flash Player.
Do I need to set build type before any project is loaded? After?
When? How? Not your fault. ClickTeam has to rely on the kindness of people like you because it won't grow up and address customer support.

    Re: Using Flash runtime

I open MMF2 and select New project. Under Settings/Build Options, I have the choices: Stand Alone App, Screen Saver, Internet, Stand Alone Java, Stand Alone Java Web. Period. No mention of Flash. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks.

LOL! Why do you say that? You posted your question a couple of hours ago only...

Weird. Probably something happened during the install process. Could you reboot your machine, reinstall the SWF exporter and then run MMF2 and see if the SWF build type is still missing? If so, please send me your MMF2 and SWF serials, I'll try. Thanks.

Once it works you can also check the help file, there's more info about the Flash exporter under "Distributing your application".

Address customer support! Are we looking at the same forum?

    Re: Using Flash runtime

I find the nice thing about ClickTeam is that the user base IS customer support. We are all customers, too!
"Custom Support" is just getting fewer people to answer questions that could be answered quicker in the forums.

Think about it. Would you rather 5 people see a question and have their best at it? Or would you rather hundreds of people see your question, giving you the best feedback possible? Clickteam should be known for the usefulness of the forums as a tool.

On topic: The first time running MMF2 after installing a new feature, the F1 Help window will automatically open to a page relevant to your new upgrade.
