    NPC's navigation

    Hello everybody!
Could enyone explain how to make node-based navigation for NPCs?! It would be great to make some example for me. Navigation and pathfinding systems are the most difficult for me in making my top-down shooter.
    Please help!

    Re: NPC's navigation

There's the Integrated Path Planning Object, but it's for MMF2 Developer only... Though it is a great extension.

There is also the Advanced Pathfinding Object but that requires that you install the .net 2.0 framework, and requires anyone who plays your game to also have the .net 2.0 framework installed.

I believe there is also a simpler pathfinding object that comes with MMF? I might be mistaken on that one... But I know there are many solutions to pathfinding, depending on what you need.

Besides "Integrated Path Planning Object" and "Advanced Pathfinding object", there's also "Pathfinding Object" and "A* FlashString", which is flash only.

    Re: NPC's navigation

The Path Movement Object can do this. You can also use multiple movements for other things the NPC's need to do.

    Ok thanks for advice, nivram.
Could you give me some example of using Advanced Path Movement Object?
