    Click Convention Question and Answer.

I have tried to listen to the first 18 minutes of the program but with the microphone going in and out it was very hard to hear. Could someone write up the major features of what MMF3 will have.

I believe it will be based on Microsoft C++ and not .net.

I also believe it will allow you to generate in flash, java, exe ect...

I am unsure. Perhaps someone who was there could post a list.

Re: Click Convention Question and Answer.

I can try, although my memory may not be 100% correct...

    * Open file format. No more mfa's. There will be a folder containing all the files used for your game.

    * Extension editor is included in the program

    * Backwardcompatibility will be supported in one way or another, perhaps with the use of an external tool.

    * Some major MMF2 extensions will be directly integrated in MMF3.

    * Extensions can be made once, and will work for all runtimes if supported.

    * Making extensions will be easier, and allow for more power.

    * A scripteditor may be included, but that is not decided at this point.

    * Graphics will still be in pixel format, but Clickteam says that there are no reason why there cannot be a Vector graphics extension for MMF3.

    * You cannot make Vitalize applications with MMF3.

    * Some sort of team source control may be included

Re: Click Convention Question and Answer.

They want to release MMF3 as soon as possible. How soon that is though, no one knows. They are doing lots of changes and there are still the huge wishlist they'll have to work out what do to with

2012 was suggested, but I don't know how serious that was. In any case, the unfinished runtimes are priority one at the moment. When they are released, production will fully start on MMF3.

Re: Click Convention Question and Answer.

I'm a little concerned over not being able to make vitalized applications since in my testing the vitalized was the only one that worked with proper speed. Other like java or flash were very slow on web pages. Perhaps I was missing something.
