Hey, I'm having updated mmf2 dev build 251 and to my surprise I still got the same problem here. Are you sure that in your computer each time you run the frame you get different arrangement? I tried both of hwa and non hwa and they had same error.
Hmmm, that's weird. It's good that you updated though, that could cause problems for some of your other programs in the future.
Does anything happen when you run the application though? I understand that the objects aren't being randomly placed for some reason (despite the fact that it works for me), but does anything else happen? Before running the application the objects are off center to the left. While running it the group should be centered. If it's not centering them then the events aren't having any effect at all (which is pretty strange)
Is anyone else willing to help with this?
Ok, I tried to upload images of both inside frame and running application(f8) to show what's going on on my computer.
first is how the objects are placed inside frame(640*480px)

Okay, well everything appears to be working except the actual part where it shuffles their positions. You get that same order every time right (5,4,3,2,1)? Idk what the problem is then. The event 'Pick one of Good' should pick one randomly (as it is for me). It's acting as if that event doesn't exist for you and it's picking them in the same order every time. Not sure why this is happening, sorry
any alternative event you can come up with? anybody else knows why and what to do?
Oh my God!!!!! I can't believe it! couldn't be more simpler than that. I could come up with a solution that "gkinfinity" you'r gonna laugh! one event, one condition did the trick. here it is: all objects are manually aligned in frame editor and they belong to same qualifier. In the event editor I have this event:
Start of frame-->> Swap position with another object. That's it. Now each time I run the frame I get different arrangement of objects and sure enough no overlapping or anything else. By the way, "gkinfinity" you taught me about loops and for that I owe you one. Thanks
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
*FACEPALM*
I don't know why but I totally forgot about that as a possibility. I don't think I've used the swap position event in a few years actually; I just forgot it existed. Ohhhh mannnnn, I feel so foolish now rofl. Oh well, glad that I introduced you to loops at least.
I'm still wondering why my file didn't work for you though. That's pretty weird.
Yes, I still don't know why didn't your file work for me but I need to move on with my project so that swapping objects pretty much did what I needed to do. Thanks again and happy swapping.![]()
