    Scandinavian alphabet in string object

I need to use Scandinavian alphabet like Ä and Ö in a string object, but they are not showing correctly on iOS. Tested on iPod and iPad with two different fonts Arial and Verdana.

Here's how letters Å, Ä and Ö show on the screen of the devices:

Any ideas on how to get them working?

iOS should decode strings from the standard runtime as Windows-1252 per default so the character set used is consistent. I'm already doing so in Anaconda and it works as expected

Ok, so this is the only way currently and near future? Or can Mathias' idea be utilized?

If I buy and install the Unicode version, is there any "side effects" or am I still able to use and update all other MMF2 builds, exporters, extensions, etc, normally just like before without Unicode installed?

In other words, Unicode only adds the capability of using different character sets in the applications, but it doesn't affect any other parts of the software? Just trying to avoid any extra hassle...

These characters display correctly in the Android runtime beta (without Unicode). Are you sure this isn't an iOS exporter bug Francois?

MMF CCNs use the ISO-8859-1 character set, which includes characters such as Å, Ä and Ö.

Re: Scandinavian alphabet in string object

i am having some similiar issues with "Æ,Ø,Å" the 'å' character sometimes work and sometimes not, in mmf it works fine. But i am assuming this will be fixed as well and i hope the update is coming soon!
