    touchscreen and default movements

    Hi,
    I am thinking about trying to make games that will work on touchscreen devices like tablet computers and phones. I am not sure exactly how to go about it though. I was thinking I'd just create active objects or buttons to act as controllers on the screen. But I am concerned that the built in movements in MMF2 (platform, eight directions, drag and drop etc) might not be adaptable to using this type of control scheme. I'd like to be able to convert some of my games to touchscreen formats and they already use these built in movements. Any thoughts? Thanks,

    The touchs (of the first finger at least) will be converted into mouse actions. I do not know how the mouse movement would behave, you should try it.

    Any news on this topic? I see a lot of different television ads about new pads and phones pushing Flash compatibility (Blackberry and a new pad other than ipad). With that in mind, other than touch, can Flash interpret numerical key pad entries on a phone?

    It would be great if the multitouch and accelerometer extensions worked in flash as well, i know the input is available in actionscript. Easily converting games to all kinds of platforms is so great about mmf!
