Add Backdrop / Paste into background Limitations

Why there is limit set for those actions? After some time it stops adding new backdrops or pasting into background - how to avoid/expand it?

The limit is identical to the maximum number of objects in the frame. I.e. if the maximum number of objects in the properties of the frame is 500, that means you can create up to 500 backdrop objects with the Add Backdrop action (even if there are already 500 active objects).

No, Paste = Add in HWA mode (as well as SWF, iOS, Android, XNA, etc I think).

The reason for that is probably that in HWA, the screen always completely redraws. So if you paste something, it will be deleted in the next frame anyway, because the whole screen is redrawn. Pasting basically just puts something in the image buffer and leaves it there until some other object is drawn over it - at least in standard MMF, where not the whole screen is redrawn because it would be too slow.

Re: Add Backdrop / Paste into background Limitations

I find it a bit quirky to paste something into the image buffer until something else draws over it anyway. I'd not try that even in Software mode, and I hope it's not supported at all in MMF3. It's much more "correct" to draw on a surface object.
