I woul use an animation frame that matches the marks on your dial. When user clicks on that area change the frame to +\- 1

    Re: Rotating Buttons how to?!

    thanks for the tip, mikec!

    The problem is:
you could dial it at every position around, you know?
but the marker will allways start from its position.
(because you could turn the dial around more than
    one time)

    ie:
    turn one: day 1 - 12
    turn two: day 13 - 25
    turn three: day 26 - 38
(after the last day of the month, it jumps back to day 1)

so you should be able to track the move of the user.

Can't you make it so while you keep pressing the finger down in an area above it you make it look at the finger position.
You can do that by finding the angle between the center of the wheel to the finger - either with the advanced direction object or with some math in the expression editor.

You can then turn the angle value into whatever value you are interested in.

Hi! It's a 'booking table form'.

you choose the date/time (3 dials at one screen)
    (month - day - time)

    how many persons (1 dial)

and fill out a form. its just a different way, you know?
i have no idea if i could use the iphone-picker with mmf. but i dont think so...

    Re: Rotating Buttons how to?!

Oh I see,.now that makes sense. So,.you would have 4 dials.

    Dial 1= How many Persons

    Dial 2= Month

    Dial 3= Day

    Dial 4= Time

    Is that right?

Not sure if it helps, but the List object becomes the iPhone Picker on the iPhone. Not sure if you can have a bunch of them on screen though - but this would be the normal way of doing date & time on iPhone
