    IOS sound questions

Hi all, here are some questions about sound channels for IOS:

is it safe to play sounds from specific channels?
If so, how many channels does an IOS device have typically?
Will per channel volume controls work?

    thanks

Francois what does using channels give you? I know that it means I could have32 sounds playing at different volumes but are there any other inherent advantages?

    Re: IOS sound questions

Sorting sounds into different channels makes mixing alot easier. You can do some simple sorting, like the IEZA model (Interface, Effect, Zone, Affect, just put the sound in whatever category you deem fit) to really make it less of a headache to make the game sound better.

    Keith:
    Control

Grouping sounds into channels makes it easy for you to control which sounds are played and when. You can for example stop all in-game sounds from playing with one action while the music channel still plays.
