Are Mmf Flash games slower then native Flash?

I just got told that if you make a Flash game in mmf they will always have slower performence then if you make it in regular native Flash.

Why is this and how big is the difference? If you made two games identical but one in mmf and exported to flash and another directly in flash how would the performence difference?

Of course there is a difference because native Flash games just have the Flash runtime. MMF games have the MMF runtime built in the Flash runtime You'd never notice it with simple games with only a few objects or so, but the difference gets more noticeable with big projects.
