Should I use "End the Application"

Does End the Application work correctly, and is it right to use it on an iPhone app?

I have a menu choice to Quit the game, but when I use it on the iPod Touch 4th generation test device, it seems to hang.

If somebody wants to quit your application they can just press the Home button on their iDevice, so no need to include it and Apple may indeed reject it if you do. I have never seen an app that had a quit option that took you back to the iDevice's home screen. By all means allow the player to quit your game back to you main menu screen of course!

I uncheck the "Multitask" option. It frees up the app.

Thanks, I'll do away with the Quit button, which is only on the menu screen. I have a menu button that takes you from game screen to menu.

Yes, Apple does not like when you quit the application. It looks like it crashes.
