    Noob mistake?

Hey guys, i am new to the forums but i have been messing around with MMF2 for a while, i recently bought the IOS exporter and got everything set up with the hopes of actually making my own app/games but i ended up buying an iphone 4s to export onto and with the ios5 bugs being resolved i was unable to make a button work when exporting to xcode, however it seems like the issues i was having have been sorted and now when i export my project there seems to be no errors and when i try to simulate the app it says everything is successful but when the screen comes up it just has the MMF image thats says MADE WITH MULTIMEDIA FUSION 2 (or however it goes) and then it just stays on that...

all it is is an IOS button that plays a sound when it is touched but i cant get it to work, i thought maybe it has to do with the artwork (not being any means it only loads that initial image?) so i made a background in photoshop and a button to be clicked... i exported and again nothing, just the MADE WITH... image...

i didnt really want to post this up because either i am not doing something stupidly obvious or the solution is really simple but having actually tried to solve the issue of just getting a simple button to run, i thought i would give in and ask for any help...

You might want to post your application to see if it runs on other people's devices - I'm sure it will be something fixable One thing that comes to mind is... what resolution is your application? As far as I've experienced, under iOS 4 and 5 the phone screen may not update correctly unless the resolution is among the expected ones (480x320, 960x640 and the corresponding portrait resolutions... I think)

Does the same application work in the simulator in XCode?

Hi it takes a while for the app to run, maybe 2 - 3 mins. Have you tried it on the iphone or just the simulator.

Delete the app from iphone or simulator and build again. Do not stop the app until it passes the mmf screen give it a few minutes

i run it at the landscape 640x960...

if its due to the fact that i am inpatient i will cry... :P i havent bought the dev license yet because i think if i cant get it to work on the simulator i should wait until i can and save the few pennies i have lol

well after the first time it took 4.5 seconds and now any build is just as fast :S i dont understand it but i am greatful lol!

and thanks again! today i signed up to be an apple dev and I have just tested my first app on my phone! (a simple button that when pressed plays a sound) so it might be stupidly simple but now the options are endless! i am so greatful for all of your responces and to the click team!

longest time I have had to wait for an app I have made to boot has been about 20 seconds, but I have no music files so maybe that is helping me right now.

Just remember when you are testing in debug mode, it will also run slower than when running it direct off phone. It might be an extra 5 odd seconds on the load etc... its difficult to quantify as it depends on a number of factors, but most of my games load pretty fast on a 4.

Also there used to be an issue with any iphone app (and this is any iphone creation software including writing natively in xcode) that if it took more than 20 seconds the app would close, not sure if it would still do this, so you should always make sure the first frame of your app is not too large.
