    smooth rotation

    Hi folks,

i wonder why this wasn't asked before (at least i couldn't find nothing).

Since MMF only use rational numbers for rotation that means I only have 360 degrees. So one complete rotation will contain max 360 moves?

Is there a way of smoother rotation? I have a huge space background and I would like it to rotate really slow and smooth.

    Thanks in advance!

cncwizard, MMF2 also has rotations by setting angles. If it only takes integer values then yes there are only 360 possible rotations.
Bogeyman, rotating a huge background will be very slow, so a better solution may be to load it into the Surface Object and rotate it there. I can't tell you how to do that, as I don't have a clue, but I'm fairly sure it can do decimal rotations.

Perhaps it's different on the HWA mode (it's the only one I use so I wouldn't know about the Standard), but I have no problem using floating point angles. NightSky and Saira would look horrible without it.

I believe there's an example in this: http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=46443

There's a very slowly spinning smiley face or something.

HWA supports floating point angles with 2 degrees of precision, so you get 0.00 to 360.00 degrees

No, use the Set Angle action. You can rotate objects to any angle you want.

A circle consists of 360 degrees. MMF2 measures in degrees.

Thank you folks. The HWA was what I forgot.
With HWA you can smoothly rotate an image from 0.00 to 360.00 degrees.
