    Best Handling of HiScore

    Happy Thanksgiving! :-)
So, this group has been truly amazing!
MMF2 has been a fluid learning process and the forum has made a few days out of what would probably be my first couple of weeks with MMF2, so I give thanks for that! :-)

My latest 'stuck' place is dealing with HiScore.
I have it set up so that the screen location is where I want, using the right fonts etc.
The handling keeps it hidden under any game conditions where there is a pause etc.
I have it set so that 'if player has a hiscore' it asks for name, but it should only do this when number of lives = 0.
It is doing this when going from a frame/level to the next. I've looked for any holes in the order or choice of options.

Any advice on how to have the following using event commands? :

If player finishes a level with lives, should advance to next level without displaying hiscore or asking for player name to be entered.
If player dies at a level and does not have a hiscore, then ignore hiscore
If player dies at a level and has a hiscore, ask for player name.

It seems to me it should already be behaving this way, but it asks for hiscore at end of fram after starting to load next frame no matter what. Hmmmm. :-)

Thanks again for the awesome support and God Bless You.

I believe it has to have it's own frame. That's the way I've always done it,.but I never thought of it the way you have and not sure it can be done. You need to set it up when lives or whatever you have triggering it,.jump to the high score frame and it will do it's thing for you.
