    Help Jibs Learn PMO (lol)

    Hey, I've been playing around with platform movement object. It was a bit difficult at first, not really having a clue. Finally found a good video tut on it. I'm able to do the simple thing now. Get player rigged to the object, and move on normal platforms..

    Now I'm trying to make my way through the spring example on this page.

    the conditions are here..

    pmo - object is falling
    active - is overlapping spring
    pmo - jump.

    I can't for the life of me figure out where jump is under pmo. The only thing I can find is on user input jump..

    (I'll dig this thread up when ever I got a new pmo question, really wanna get this object down, seems handy, lol)

    I don't want to make a Platformer, so I don't need this extension so far. Have to learn much other things at the moment. :P

    Hey,

    what kind of game are you working on?

    I just attached a mfa in case someone can help me with this. It's getting better now that I've learned some basics with the object. What I'm trying to do here is make a slope platform they can slide down, but also make it so they can jump up to..at the moment that's impossible, lol. (sorry for the messy code, trying to learn different things all in the same frame, but it's understandable.)

    oops, that was a useless post, I figured this one out. I had the wrong key press for changing alterable value.

    Keep cool and play around. It isn't easy at the first time but you'll keep it better in mind when you play around with the simplest basics. lol... I remeber the first time I was looking at a MMF code. It was also a platformer comming with MMF, if I rember correctly. "How does this little figure can pick up this key?" WTF? Then later I noticed what alterable values are. And flags. That's funny... lol

    I'm currently working on an adventure game, classic Point'n'Click. But this is way more complex than pick up a key, a bit nerve-racking. ^^

    I love adventure games. I remember my first time playing kings quest. There was a couple I played. That game was a CLASSIC lol.

    I love the one where Gramh is trying to save that princess from that castle, lol. The one with the big desert area..that game was cool, aha.

    There's a bunch of old win games, and dos games I can vaguely remember that I wish I could play again..

    another cool one was about a plane crash in a jungle that's how it started out..

    also hugo series was a lot of fun for me (but that's more graphical text), lol.
