Thread: Running an MMF exe on a none MMF installed machine?

    Running an MMF exe on a none MMF installed machine?

    I'm working with an Artist for a new game of mine and was wondering instead of sending him Build-"install program",.can I just send him Build- "Program"? Or do I need to send him the mmfs2.dll for the exe to run on his none installed MMF machine? If I need to send him the .dll,..where would he need to place it. Would the desktop be ok? I don't want to keep sending him Install programs as the game progresses.

    no .dll has been required for years...you can just create an exe (NOT install) and send him the .exe

    please corect me if I'm wrong anyone...

    Really? In the past I have always had to send the .dll,.but that was Click & Create..LOL

    Yes, the requirement for the .dll was eliminated as of MMF2 - now the runtime library is packaged with the EXE.

    Yeah Marv,.I remember doing it that way years ago and the only way it could be done when you just sent the EXE that didn't have the program installed. Now that I know,.that is great news. I sent one off to a friend today and he said it worked fine. Gotta love MMF..!!
