So if you are only selling consumables, then you don't need to include the 'restore purchases' feature?

I'm not exactly sure what freemium stuff you could add to Awesome land, maybe the ability to unlock a level select or a new character skin, adding in more hit points would break the game I think.
Yeah, AWESOME Land's IAPs are more like the DLC you get for console games, extra level packs and stuff. I'm doing purchasable 'cheat codes' in MANOS, like a Game Genie type thing where you can pay for unlimited lives, extra health etc.

I ask you, please make a menu which actually looks like a game genie code menu of some kind, the nostalgia would be so strong!

Yep. Your basically selling a quantity of something, like fish food in a fish tank simulator. the player can get more by purchasing more, but they cant restore it or transfer it to different devices.

This is what I keep thinking. I had thought of even having codes you could enter, in those huge, chunky, over-pixellated letters, but I think it'd convolute things a little for something people are paying for. I'm thinking of looking at other cheat cart models and stuff. I'll probably try to replicate the font and colours at least.

Yeah, cool, I figured as much, I was just concerned about how many people on here have had apps rejected due to not doing the IAPs perfectly by the book, as I always set release dates for my games and it'd look really bad for me to have to delay it a couple of days before due to rejection. Likely I'm going to add the IAPs to MANOS in an update like straight after release.

It's been awesome hearing about the success of Pocket Ninjas DTownTony It seems like free-to-play & IAPs really are the way to go. I'm definitely now considering it for my games.

I guess at the end of the day it's better to have as many people playing it as you can. Everybody gets to try it for free, then if the game is good enough, people who enjoy it will pay to get more out of it. Everybody wins.

That's kind of how I feel about it, and even if it doesn't do well with the IAPs at least more people get to enjoy it. Most of the games on my iPad are F2P and I tend to spend more than 0.99 on them because they are really well done

Unfortunately for me, the kind of games I prefer to make won't work with the freemium model, but there's always ways eh?
