My first update has been approved. (Hopefully starts showing up soon) it has additional leader boards and I've added some achievements. Now onto version 1.2

I always say professional looking graphics go a long way to making your game feel polished. Yeah I know, graphics aren't everything, but sloppy graphics make a game that might otherwise be a great product seem very amateurish. Good work.

Also don't forget that in the app store, a writeup and screenshots are all people see; if your graphics are poor or dull, nobody's going to click that buy button without reading some pretty damn good reviews.

It looks like updating definitely helps visibility. With the update becoming available yesterday I saw sales spike up pretty quickly.

Yeah, happened with all my past apps too, every update gives you a new spike similar to that you got at launch. Puts you right back in the new releases again and gives you exposure.

I'm naughty, I intentionally kept a few features out of Awesome Land so I could add them later as updates for this reason. Heh heh...

A lot of people do this trick with adding achievements or what EA did with NFS, release the cop part first then a week later release an update to get the "full" game.

Yeah, see, you can sometimes get an update rejected by Apple if the improvements/enhancements aren't considerable, so it's often best to save a few ideas for updates, much like the way the big businesses reserve content for DLC on their XBox games.
