Red face How many "areas" are possible to port to?

I am curious, if you make a game in mmf, how many different "areas" are it possible to port to and how hard is it? When I say areas I mean anything from console, flash to facebook.

I am thinking if you make a game why not maximize its spread and potential revenue? : ) Of course it depends also how much work may be involved in the porting.. The only porting I have done is from exe to flash and while its a very easy port it can be problems with extensions and some new bugs sometimes.

So how is it with porting to other areas and platforms and how many are there? For Iphone for example i presume that you have to change the controls somehow and so on?

    I believe it goes:

    Currently available:
    Windows
    Java
    Flash
    Vitalize! (proprietary browser plugin)
    iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch
    Blackberry (older devices, limited)

    In progress:
    Android
XNA (Windows phone 7, XBox Live indie games and other Microsoft services)

    Future:
    Mac

The Anaconda runtime adds more, but I believe commercial use isn't permitted.

Oh ok! How difficult would you regard these different ports if you already have a game ready-made and ported for Exe and Flash?

Provided there are no external files, you will have no problem with sandboxed runtimes (such as Flash). Then it's generally a matter of whether the extensions are converted. Then it's finally just changing things that each exporter does differently.

If an extension is not compatible any events related to it are just ignored, so you can use the Runtime Object to detect the current runtime and do the relevant events
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
