Thread: Possible to get another hotspot or actionpoint?

    Possible to get another hotspot or actionpoint?

    I have a character and I want to add some stuff that will always follow him around. Its very easy to just place the hotspot or action point in all his animations at the right places and then have a always event to set Object X to his hotspot, and always set Object Y to his actionpoint.

    But what if I want Object Z to follow him around to?

    Is there some way?

    You can assign as many objects as you want to hotspot of one object.

    Unfortunately you can only have one action point. What you CAN do is have alterable values which are offsets from the hot spot. Just note that there is, unfortunately, a hard coded limit of 26 alterable values.

    You can also use a small active and Always attach it to your character. Assign another action point or hotspot to the active.

    Or just give your object an extra animation - on each frame you can put the action point in a different position. It would work just like embedded collision detectors - you change to animation "ActionPoint"; set the animation frame to whichever action point you want; position the other object relative to the action point; and then set the animation and frame back how they were to begin with, so noone sees any of it happen.
