    Problem with saved speed in Platform movement object

    This is a bit hard to explain but I have attached an example. What I basically want to do in the game is so when the player dies, he gets invisible, his movement is disabled and his body flyes back to the last checkpoint. When he hits the checkpoint I make him visible again and unpause his movement. The problem is that it seems like the speed and momentum I had while i died is saved and so when he recovers his movement he will sometimes "jump" forward a bit to whatever direction I was going in when dying. How do I make it so he is totally still when I give him back movement? I made an example, You can move the active, and when you press space he will fly toward the checkpoint. You will see this problem then if you where running while pressing space :/

    What if you changed the velocity to 0 during the transition then reset it after a short pause?

    I did an edit that just changes the veolicty, it doesn't reset it, however.

    How should I do to reset it? I tried to just set the velocity to the old values but that made it react like before. hmm
