Is this possible: change screen orientation without scaling?

I'm looking into porting Bombin' over to iOS, and I'd like to be able to use the same frame/resolution for the different screen orientations, but just change the 'window' area.

Essentially just rotating the game camera and re-centering the window

    Is this possible?

    Here's some mock-ups:

You could do it manually if you locked the orientation and then moved your objects based on the angle you can detect with the accelerometer object. It'd be a lot of hard work though, otherwise I can imagine this becoming a feature which would be implemented much further down the line.
