You could use the Get object and this example I created to check for Internet it until it's added:

Thank you for your example Keith. I'll be using this for the time being.

It seems that when no network connection is available, the Get object never completes. So a timeout parameter for the Get object would be useful (like with the old MooSock object). But your workaround is easy enough, destroy the object after a given timeframe.
