Loading times

I was wondering how does the loading work on the iOS? My game is nearly complete (needing only it's music) and when you launch it on the iPad, it takes a few seconds to come out of the black screen to the actual game...from what it seems, it loads most of the game on launch, am I correct? If you make a very large game, I can imagine how slow it would be to load the entire game at once...

MMF only loads the current frame graphics and sounds. If you want your game to appear quickly, do not over charge your first frame.
On small devices like iPod or iPhone, the initialisation of the application (done by iOS) also takes some time, and nothing can be done against it...
