    Rebindable keys?

I want the player to be able to rebind the controls to whatever buttons they want in the options menu, but I'm not even sure if that's possible with mmf2. I'm making all the movement/controls from scratch, so the event that I'm using is "Repeat when key is pressed" (Or upon key press.) which just lets you set the key in advance, and I don't see any way to let the player change it. (Aside from having a few pre-made control setups to choose from, but it's not a console game, so that really doesn't make sense. =/)

Does anyone know how to do this, or if it's even possible?

Edit: Well, technically I could have an event for every key on the keyboard for every single action the player can take, and just activate whichever event corresponds to the key they bind the action to, but that's waaaay too much work for this. lol

I'm pretty sure it is if you use control x. I used this as a starting point. http://www.castles-of-britain.com/controlxexample.mfa

You will probably need to tweak the events to get it working for you, but it should work. Note: I haven't found a way to build customisable controls for flash yet, so keep that in mind...

Yeah, that's how you do. The control X object.

If you haven't figured it out yet, let me know and I'll make you an example.

Like ElectricMaster said, it won't work for flash though.
