    Sub-Application Menu

I'm just starting to learn what sub applications are, and I'm wondering if they would be the best way to go about making an in game menu. (For several screens that shows your stats, party, items, options, etc.)

Could someone either give me a quick rundown of how best to use them, or link me to a tutorial? I haven't found much in my own searching. At least not for the way I'm thinking I should use it. (Which probably means I'm doing it wrong. lol)

HI LemonyLime. I have an open source example on my website that might help.

I think it is indeed the best way to go. Here's an example I posted before that may be useful: http://community.clickteam.com/showthread.php?t=69750

Your own searching should include the forum search function, there are many posts with valuable information already there

I saw one of your examples, but all it shows is how to activate the sub application. I was hoping for something more in depth. If there was another one that I missed, could you link me to it directly?

I've seen other people use the sub-app to pause the game, but I can't figure out how to get it to do that. How does that work?

Edit: Okay, it seems I'm supposed to check Popup Window, and then Modal... but when I do that, the subapp appears outside of the game window entirely, but it fits perfectly otherwise.

Also, should I use a separate subapp for every new page of the menu, or just one subapp? (I could end up with 4 or 5 sub apps on top of each other if I use separate ones.)

I think it's necesary to add multiple subapps, depending on how much data you are trying to store (more than 5 items=multiple subapps.)

I tried looking at those games for help in my project but I don't have the Assarray.mfx extension and I haven't been able to find it.
