I wouldn't worry about it, submit your game! As long as the leaderboard ID is correct it'll work.

But only for iPhone. on ipad the leaderboard still apears in portrait mode

yeah, good point

i was talking about his submitting score problem, orientation problem is a real annoyance.

@Francois: From what i know, the orientation problem does just not occur on iPhone. on iPad the problem is stil there. Distantj has released a Game on iPad and has reported this, if i'm not mistaken.

So ..... i have downloaded "Awesome Land" now on my iPad. The orientation problem still occur. the leaderboard still appears in portrait mode.

Only on iPad but yes it occurs. Not sure why you can't release your game, though.

I'm at my wits end with the Leaderboard as well - an example/guide would be appreciated.


In my current setup, I have the connect object on both the title frame, and the leaderboard frame. When the game boots, I see the welcome message for my sandbox account on the title frame. I then navigate straight to the leaderboard frame.

Heres the events for the leaderboard frame:

[GameCenter connect] Local player has authenticated
+ Only one action when event loops
------------------------------
[GC leaderboard] -> Set ID to "1" - same as in itunes
[GC leaderboard] -> Send score 800 to server



[GC Leaderboard] Score has been sent successfully
------------------------------
[GC leaderboard] -> Display default leaderboard


When I test the app, the default leaderboard comes up, so this suggests to me that the score is being submitted to the server successfully. Nonetheless, I dont see it. Ive tried with 2 sandbox accounts so far.

Ugh, in answering my own question .....

Seems that high score posts in a sandbox will show up in the leaderboard 6 hours after they are submitted...... Weird
