Exclamation Experiencing lag with Flash/SWF build of game

I have just created my first Flash/SWF build of a game.

The game seems to lag throughout. The objects in the game do not move smoothly at all.
It is the same in each browser I have tried running the game in.

This problem does not exist in Vitalize or Java builds of the game.

Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this?

Yes, the Flash runtime is slower than the C++ runtime.
Specially if you use fast loops.
I suggest (if you use fast loops) to reduce the number of loops. If you are not using them, try reducing the number of objects active at the same time.

The lag is extremely apparently throughout the game, regardless of how many objects there are and what events are taking place.

As soon as I start up the first level, the lack of smoothness is very noticeable, like trying to play an online first-person shooter with a high latency.
There are no fast loops taking place, and upon checking the debugger, I can see there are only 10 - 13 objects at any given time.
All of these objects are small, simple graphics, none of which are animated.

Is it normal for Flash builds of MMF2 games to always run noticeably less smoothly than Vitalize or Java builds, or is there some sort of option I can change?

    Hi Morthian,

What browser and flash version are you running. In the past I had performance problems with flash versions of games which now run like butter using Chrome 18.0.1 and Flash 11.2

If you only use 13 objects and no fast loops, you game should run at full speed. What extension objects do you use?
