    MP3 audio breakup

I recently learned that I can now play mp3's through the "play sample" event (not sure what build this was added to). However, I sometimes experience choppy mp3 playback. I have no problem converting to .wav, but would audio quality suffer from this conversion? Another option (which I've been doing for now) is to use the Direct Show to play the mp3's but this requires me to include all the audio files separate from my project file when I build it, and I'd rather just have them all embedded in the one .exe file.

WAVE would be high-quality, but huge. OGG is a similar format to MP3 and would best suit your conversion. Make sure you keep the bitrate the same and your quality shouldn't be affected.
MP3 playback is reportedly bad in Flash because of Adobe; devs work around this with a constant sample playing in the background (very quietly).
