Game Cutscenes - Your opinion

Hello everyone!

I am in the process of an attempt to port my project to the iPhone/iPad and the PC version of the game, there are almost 30 minutes of animation sequences telling the story of the game. I was wondering if that would be possible on the iOS, I know there is the iOS Movie extension, but I have not found one iOS game that has this feature. What do you guys think? How would you go about this? If you are wondering what project I refer to, the trailer for the PC version is here:

This looks like it will be a great game. The style sort of reminds me of Donkey Kong Country and it is clear that you have spent a lot of time on the modelling and animation.
I do not see a lot of cut scenes in many IOS games but if it helps create the story and atmosphere I think it would be good to include it.
You will set your game apart from a lot of others and it could lead to more sales.

I would just keep an eye on the file size.

It's really not the kind of public who enjoys cutscenes or general lack of control

Since it's a conversion, I don't see how you could change it without compromising the concept, but it's something to keep in mind for future games made straight for iPhone

In general i dont care for game cut scenes. On ios they can be very annoying. Imo, ios games tend to be for shorter bursts of gaming. Play the demo of Shantae for example. Waaaay too much text to skip through. If your cut scenes are videos, thats better. Just make them easily skippable w/ a quick tap.

Yea, the cutscenes are skippable even on the PC version of the game, so I wouldn't force the player to watch them...thank you for your opinions guys.
