Asking question to display achievements while in game problem

Hi there, I am trying to let the player view the achievements while in game by doing the pause trick (asking a question).

Here is what i am doing :

player presses pause button > ask question
player chooses answer : view achievements
GC achievements opens and also the pause menu question is re-triggered (otherwise game would unpause while viewing achievements)

the player closes the achievements widow, chooses resume this time around, plays a bit, re-pauses and when chooses achievements for a second time but nothing happens it unpauses and some graphics i trigger to hide when pausing disapear..... I cannot view achievements twice...

Any clues ? thank you !

>_< craptastic. all of this because I had run this event once on most of these events. replaced by only one action when event loops.
