Text Scrolling

I usually do text scrolling using Text Blitter, it's pretty easy and convenient, but, since Text Blitter is not supported by flash, what could I use? I've tried Character Image, but I can't seem to find a scrolling property for it.

Sorry I can’t find that tutorial. I recently got a new hard drive for my computer so things are very unorganized at the moment.

I did find some other things that might help you though.

The first file (typewritertextexample - by brandon09.mfa) is a very simple to use text scrolling string setup. It uses embedded fonts and scrolls by word rather than by character.

The second file (scroll text_activeblitversion2.mfa) is a bit complicated but I think it recreates text blitting from scratch. I can’t remember where this file came from, so if anyone knows please let me know so I can label it properly ^^;

Both of these methods work in flash, so hopefully it helps.

Thanks for the hint, but that's not exactly what I was looking for. I need to do text scrolling like a list, I mean, vertical scrolling.

I did figured it out. Using the Charset Image extension, there's a "Y Offset" property. That is what I was looking for.
