    Deleted my project file

Hello, I am really frustrated right now. I accidentally deleted the project file for my game, but i have the exe that i built for it and the folder with all of the graphics that i used in the game. Is there any way that i can continue to add levels to this game, or do i have to start over? thanks in advance

Sorry, you will have to start over to add anything.

I don't know if it's possible, but you might try some extractors, like 7zip or something and see if you can find something inside the exacted .exe. Its worth a shot!

If you deleted your project file you have only lost the project, all the individual application files are still there (the .mfa files) and you have not lost anything important.

You cannot retrieve MFAs from EXEs are add to your existing EXE game.

Yes. One positive thing is that you have your graphics and a big head start.

If you delete something, you might be able to look in the recycle bin to see if it ended up in there. If it did, then you can restore it. If not, unfortunately, you will have to start over.

What's with all the hatred? YsYs9... you can always download an 'recovery' software. I have used multiple in the past and retrieved files that are sometimes over 9 months from deletion. It's worth a shot in your case providing you haven't deleted the partition on your hdd and reformatted more than once. Even after a format files are recoverable (sometimes fragmented to hell) but if you haven't formatted since deletion you'll more than likely be able to recover them.

    Try this:
