    Question Camera Object

    Hey guys,

I know that there are a few topics about the camera object but nothing solved my problem...

I want to take a picture in one frame and in the other i want to read out some rgb information from the pixels.
Because there is no condition to do that i wanted to save the picture and load it into an active object to
    get the data I need.

I hope somebody has a solution cause i cant go on with my app if this feature isnīt given

Thank you and sorry for my bad english ,
    Atrox

Maybe it isnt possible to solve my problem but then I have another question:
How do you get the image data into the app when the user has taken one?
Or is it possible to customize the camera extension to get the rgb info?

    Thanks in advance

Iīd also be interested in that. Maybe Clickteam could make the camera app a little bit more "open". I think of a simple drawing engine - and then use the camera object to save the drawing - make a simple screenshot. Esp. Screenshots would be an awesome feature!!!!
Thx for starting this post. Maybe someone has an idea of how this can be managed!

Atrox - Seems like what we need is a way to pass the filename of the picture taken to another object, eg Active Picture, or even another Camera Object somehow.

iamjot - sounds like what you're after is for the Screen Capture Object to be converted to iOS. I'd certainly welcome that, even if it's functionality was limited.

AyreGuitar: exactly. That would make a lot of things suddenly interesting. It would be ok if the extension would "only" capture the screen and thats it. Would be enough!

iamjot - I've developed my first extension to do just that! Took a LOT longer than expected...

iamjot - Glad you like it! I had hoped there would have been a simpler way to capture the screen, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get the OpenGL screen (Actives, Backgrounds, etc) and the UIKit (Buttons, Lists, Edit Boxes, etc) in one go, so it involves a few passes, which took a while to get lined up properly and sized right. It also makes it slower than I'd like - it takes about 1 second to grab a screen on my iPad2
