GET is working?!? [URGENT PROBLEM]

Hi!

I've a get object in my app that works fine in "BLUESTACKS" simulator.

but on my samsung galaxy tab, it doesnt work - weird.

does the GET OBJECT work on device? I've attached a simple example mfa & apk,
please give it a try and tell me your experience.

I've got the chance to test it on an old ANDROID phone - it works. strange, that it doesnt work first on the galaxy tab.

Get is not working on my device -- Running ICS
Maybe I have to turn on an application property for it or maybe it needs to be updated since a lot of work has been happening on the runtime since it was first ported.

Really?? Has somebody an idea, why on some devices it works, on others wont?!?

there is no quick workaround about this, right? please help!

You can look at the application properties for Android and see if you have to turn something on there for it to work.
Its possible they made it a permission you must grant the device in later versions.

But if the extension itself has to be fixed it will be a little bit for that to happen as James is concentrating on Android Runtime.

Does somebody know, if there is a special permission granted for GET? I set the "INTERNET" permission for it.

btw, it have to be something special about this: because on the SIMULATOR (BlueStacks) and on an old HTC the GET worked.

Jeff, have you tried a phone? or a tablet? wlan or mobile connection?

Then something is wrong with the extension as I see you have internet selected in the application properties.
I think this extension will need to be worked on and you won't be able to go around the issue.

Android must have changed something from the old versions to the newer ones.

It seems to work fine on both of my devices. INTERNET is the only permission necessary AFAIK.

Can you see if there's anything in the debug log on your device?

tested your example, works fine in my gTablet.

i added the counter to verify the condition (working great), btw network required ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE.
